1321 - Godfather of Sports Card Protection
Dr Beckett,
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question, I know it was a tough one!
In the mid 1970's I attended my first “Sports Card Show” or “Baseball Card Convention.” (as they used to call them in those days). The main thing I came away with from attending “The Baseball Card Convention” was learning that my cards needed to be protected.
Thanks again,
Bart

1965 Topps PSA Authentic Luis Tiant Autographed Baseball Card #145
This is a rare and valuable 1965 Topps baseball card featuring the signature of Luis Tiant, a former Major League Baseball player for the Cleveland Indians. The card is a standard size and is part of the 1965 Topps set, which is considered a vintage collection.
The autograph is hard-signed and authenticated by Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA), adding to the card's value and collectability. This card is a must-have for any sports trading card enthusiast, especially those interested in the Cleveland Indians and Luis Tiant's career.

My 1965 Topps Hank Aaron
My 1965 Topps Hank Aaron
I really love your YouTube channel. I want to tell my story about my favorite card, the 65 Hank. I got my 65 Hank in the fall of 1976. For the seventies and me being 15 I had a nice collection of 73’s 74’s 75’s and 76’s Topps Baseball. So one day in 1976 there was an ad in the local newspaper, if you have baseball cards and would like to sell or trade please contact me. So I answered the ad. And he (Larry) asked me about my collection. I told him what I had for Cards . he was 10 years older than me so his collection was more in the 60’s and wanted more modern day 70's cards. So we set up a time and he came to my house where he had a stack of about a hundred 60’s and a few 50’s baseball cards. So here's where my training began he asked me what I thought would be the cards that Collectors would want years later. I said Hank Aaron because he had broke Babe Ruth’s Home Run record a few years earlier. Larry took almost all of the 1974’ and 1975 Topps. And I got several Hank Aaron cards, The 65 being my favorite as well as several other Hall of Famers from the 60’s. We remained friends after the trade and to this day are still best friends.
